We are thrilled to share our unforgettable journey exploring the bustling startup scene in Nairobi, made possible by INSEAD and the Hoffman Institute. Our group of four brought diverse expertise from venture capital, trading, consulting, and startups. Eager to broaden our horizons during our MBA program, we set our sights on Kenya, particularly intrigued by the burgeoning Climate and Agri tech initiatives in the geography.
Nairobi unfolded as a hotbed of innovation during our immersive tour. We had the pleasure of engaging with passionate venture capitalists deeply involved in supporting pioneering startups. Witnessing the revolutionizing impact these startups had on agriculture was truly inspiring. From aquaculture to agriflora, agriwaste management, soil analysis, and educational services tailored for small-scale farmers, the agricultural sector was brimming with ingenious solutions.
Our expedition led us to several startups devoted to optimizing food distribution and streamlining supply chain logistics, crucial for sustainable growth. Moreover, beyond the entrepreneurial sphere, we were warmly welcomed by the vibrant INSEAD alumni community in Nairobi. Exploring the region, we relished the flavorful food and the natural beauty surrounding the region, which added an extra layer of richness to our learning journey.
